Share with Me

So, I really want to make GREAT homemade sloppy joes, using a recipe from scratch. Does anyone have one to share with me? I'm not a huge fan of Worscheshire (hope that it is spelled correctly) though:(

  1. Hey, try this:
    1 diced onion
    1 diced bell pepper
    1 to 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
    1 1/3 c. ketchup
    2 tbsp vinegar
    1 heaping tablespoon brown sugar
    1 tsp chile powder
    1 tsp paprika
    1 tsp salt
    black pepper to taste
    2/3 cup water

    this one sounds good too:
    1 to 1 1/2 ground beef
    1 pepper
    1 onion
    1 small can tomato paste
    2 tbsp sugar
    3/4 c. ketchup
    3 tbsp sweet pickle relish
salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce to taste
    up to 1/2 c. water

Neither one uses Worcestershire! Found them out in blogland, can go through my history if you want the actual site.

PS I started following The Silly Pearl about 2 weeks ago (seen you have her button) Great blog hey? Have you checked out Tip Junkie (tipjunkie.com) before? Think you'd like it.
